- Titanium White and Raw umber acrylic paint for the 'mid-tone ground' to prepare the surface for painting.
- A painting palette (melamine approx A3 size)
- A palette knife
- 1 x 500ml bottle of ODOURLESS solvent
- Rags or a roll of paper towel

Oil paints
If you already have oil paints bring what you have to the first lesson. If you don't already have oil paints the following is a good selection of colours that will keep you going (small tubes are fine). Buying cheap paints is a waste of money - we recommend purchasing 'Artist' quality paints. Art Spectrum is a good economical brand. For the first lesson please bring Raw Umber and white.
Recommended list:
Titanium White or Zinc White, Ivory Black, Burnt Sienna, yellow ochre.
COOL COLOURS: Lemon Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, Cerulean Blue (hue will do)
WARM COLOURS: Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue
